Here's a little bit about the author and her blog in her own words:

"My love of food goes as far back as I can remember. When I was 9, my cousin and I started making several-course meals for our family using original recipes. We spent a fortune - or so it seemed at the time - of our grandfather's money, destroyed the kitchen, and had a blast.

Being in the kitchen is no less fun for me today than it was back then, though my affection has been somewhat monopolized by baking in the last few years. I love it. I experience a little bit of magic every time I mix up a batter, every time I pull something out of the oven.

This blog is devoted primarily to baked goods, with the odd vegetable dish thrown in here and there. One thing you can be sure of is that everything will be beautiful and oh-so-tempting!

I believe very strongly in organic food, and I will not cook or bake with anything else. Though I won't necessarily say so in every post, all of the ingredients I use are of the highest quality and contain no chemicals or genetically modified organisms.

I am a single mom to two amazing little boys, ages 2 and 4, neither of whom eat refined cane sugar - not because of any health problems, but as a choice on my part - so many of my recipes contain alternative sweeteners, especially palm sugar."
