Cake Decorator

Fairway Market is looking for an experienced Cake Decorator to join our production team!

Department-specific Responsibilities

Must have at least 2-5 years experience as a Cake Decorator

Prepare a range of fillings, icings and products.
Cut, shape, and mold dough and pastry mix to exacting standards
Must know how to follow a recipe, measurements, and produce in a high volume environment
Calculate and coordinate oven temperatures and baking times for optimum results
Operate, maintain, monitor and report on condition of equipment and machinery to ensure compliance with occupation health and safety standards
Contribute ideas for improvement of the work environment, customer service and pastry products
Receive loads and products while keeping an eye out for freshness and superior quality
Ensure product availability, quality and freshness by proper rotation, stocking and replenishment of products to help maximize profitability and minimize shrink
Package, wrap, weigh, price and label items
Properly prepare orders that are to be submitted in a timely manner
Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
Operate relevant equipment in a safe and productive manner
